As the days grow shorter and the air becomes crisper, the holiday spirit comes alive in the Netherlands. One of the most enchanting ways to embrace the winter season is by visiting theme parks transformed into magical wonderlands. In this article, we'll take you on a journey through some of the best Dutch theme parks that celebrate the winter season, providing everything you need to know to plan your trip.

  1. Winter Efteling - A Timeless Tradition:

Efteling, known for its enchanting atmosphere and captivating attractions, has been celebrating the holiday season since 1999. Over the years, it has become one of the most popular winter events in the park calendar. Winter Efteling welcomes visitors with special decorations, entertainment, dazzling lights, delectable snacks, and unique souvenirs.

In 2023, Efteling has announced exciting new additions, including enchanting snow globes for perfect photo opportunities, a larger ice rink, and even a Dreamflight Christmas sweater as a souvenir. The park's iconic attractions are open, with just a few undergoing maintenance. Don't forget to check out the beautifully lit park and enjoy additional shows featuring characters like Mister and Misses Time, Pinocchio, and Fairy Fee.

Winter Efteling runs from the 13th of November to the 4th of February, with ticket prices varying depending on the date of your visit. You can find a crowd calendar on Efteling's website, helping you choose the best day to experience the magic. Additionally, Efteling hosts a special New Year's celebration on the 31st of December, so be sure to mark your calendar.
