The Ultimate Ranking of Disney Theme Parks Around the World
Disney parks are more than theme parks they’re places where imagination becomes real, where music and storytelling wrap around you like a warm blanket, and where you somehow feel five years old again the moment you walk through the gates. We’ve visited many Disney destinations over the years, each with its own personality, energy, and magic. Some wow you with innovation, others with nostalgia, others simply by how they make you feel.
Today we’re ranking all the Disney theme parks around the world, from wonderful to absolutely unforgettable. And at the end… yes, we’ll talk about that brand-new Disney park coming to Abu Dhabi, because we’re beyond excited for what’s on the horizon.
Let’s begin our worldwide Disney adventure.
12. Walt Disney Studios Park – Disneyland Paris
Still growing, still changing, and with the promise of improving. This park has some amazing highlights like Ratatouille, Avengers Campus, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, but it’s also a park in transition. Huge expansions are coming, meaning its best days are hopefully still ahead. Today however this will be the most underwhelming Disney Park you can visit. That being said it's still is a Disney Park and you will have a great time while visiting. Just be sure to combine it with Disneyland Paris.
11. Hong Kong Disneyland
Small but full of charm. Hong Kong Disneyland has some beautiful parts and is worth a visit thanks to beautiful lands like Mystic Point(home to the incredible Mystic Manor). It may be compact, but it’s a peaceful, beautifully designed park, we do hope this park will get a couple of expansions because that will improve the park and maybe one it up the ranks..
10. Animal Kingdom – Walt Disney World
Where nature and storytelling blend. Pandora – The World of Avatar alone is worth the trip, but the entire park has a calm, immersive atmosphere unlike any other Disney destination. It’s not about quantity, it’s about transporting you. We love this park mostly because of its nature. It is an absolute must see park but we do spend the least amount of time in this park while visiting because the other parks are even better.
9.Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Walt Disney World
Once a half-day park, now home to some of Disney’s biggest modern hits. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Landcompletely changed its identity. It’s intense, energetic, loud — and absolutely packed with blockbuster experiences. It is absolutely worth a visit. Being the 9th on this list only because the other parks are even better.
8. Disneyland Park – Disneyland Paris
One of the most beautiful Disney castles ever built sits right here in Europe. With incredible dark rides, lush landscaping, and the iconic Dragon’s Lair beneath the castle, this park oozes atmosphere. When it’s at its best, it’s breathtaking. It could be even higher if the park would have had some new additions in the last 20 years. This is unfortunately not the case and that is why it is dropping in the ranks.
7. Disney California Adventure – Disneyland Resort
A living testament that parks can move up the ranks with some tender love and care. The highlights like Cars Land, one of the most immersive themed lands ever created, and Avengers Campus. This park feels contemporary, creative, and incredibly fun.
6. Magic Kingdom – Walt Disney World
The classic Disney castle park, iconic, nostalgic, and packed with attractions. For many families, this is Disney. It’s timeless, joyful, and home to Cinderella Castle, parades, fireworks, and countless core memories.
5. EPCOT – Walt Disney World
A park of ideas, world cultures, and incredible food. EPCOT is undergoing a massive transformation, shifting from classic edutainment to modern Disney experiences. Still, nothing beats wandering World Showcase at sunset, it’s pure magic.
4. Disneyland Park – Disneyland Resort (Anaheim)
The original. Walt’s park. The place where it all started. It’s smaller than its Orlando cousin, but it has unmatched heart. Rides like the Matterhorn, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Pirates of the Caribbean feel deeply personal and full of history.
3. Shanghai Disneyland
Bold. Ambitious. Modern. Shanghai Disneyland breaks the classic Disney formula with huge lands, innovative attractions, and the spectacular Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure. A park that’s pushing Disney into the future.
2. Tokyo Disneyland
The best version of the classic castle park. Polished, immaculate, and overflowing with charm, this park improves almost every Disney attraction it touches. Service, theming, entertainment — everything is top-tier.
1. Tokyo DisneySea
The masterpiece. DisneySea is the most immersive and artistically stunning theme park ever built. The storytelling is deep, the visuals are cinematic, and rides like Journey to the Center of the Earth and Soaring: Fantastic Flight elevate the entire experience.
Nothing else in the world feels like this.
