Exciting news for all the Dutch theme park enthusiasts out there! Attractie- en Vakantiepark Slagharen is gearing up to celebrate Halloween in the Wild West this year. This wildly popular spooky festival is making its debut at the amusement park resort in 2023. Families with children can look forward to a thrilling daytime program, while an extra scary evening program awaits those aged 14 and above. As part of Slagharen's 60th anniversary celebrations, visitors can expect a fusion of eerie atmospheres and thrilling Western experiences throughout the park.

Extended Evening Openings Halloween in Slagharen will take place from October 7th to October 29th, with the truly spine-chilling evening openings scheduled for October 7th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th. On these nights, Slagharen will delve into the dark edges of the Wild West, making the experience suitable for ages 14 and above.

A Perfect Match with the Western Theme The introduction of this event was no ordinary feat for Slagharen. "Everything we do must align with our Western theme," explains General Director Dave Storm. "That's why we have been working behind the scenes for quite some time to create a unique and fitting Halloween event. Now, we have found a way to celebrate Halloween in our own style: in the spirit of the Wild West."

"Halloween has become an integral part of American culture, and that's why the event resonates well with Slagharen," Storm further explains. "Throughout our park, you'll find influences from the United States and the Wild West. Just think of mischievous outlaws, vast prairies, and a classic Main Street. We can leverage this rugged character to offer something unique compared to other theme parks."

Collaboration with Leisure Expert Group For this Halloween event, Attractie- en Vakantiepark Slagharen has partnered with the renowned Leisure Expert Group, known for producing high-quality haunted houses in amusement parks around the world. Additionally, various sister parks, including Bobbejaanland in Belgium and Movie Park Germany in Germany, will share their extensive knowledge and experience with Halloween.
