Walibi Belgium, the amusement park in Waver, has applied for a permit to develop a new themed area that includes the construction of a rollercoaster. The park also intends to renovate two existing attractions, the Psyké Underground launch coaster and the Flash Back water ride.

The expansion project encompasses the construction of a new attraction, along with technical installations, a new shop, and a dining area. Thedevelopment will involve rebuilding an existing dining location. Walibi aims to redevelop the area surrounding Psyké Underground and Flash Back, with the new rollercoaster featuring sections over water. The exits of the three attractions will be located next to each other in a new structure.

Additionally, various paths and picnic areas in the vicinity will undergo renovation. The project's completion date and potential opposition from nearby residents, who have expressed concerns about noise and traffic issues in the past, are yet to be determined. Furthermore, Walibi Belgium is also working on another new attraction called Silverton, a rotating steam machine mill that will replace the bumper cars. The park's owner, Compagnie des Alpes, is pursuing expansion projects across its sister parks, including Walibi Holland, Parc Astérix, Bellewaerde Park, and Walibi Rhône-Alpes, with new coasters set to open in the coming years.
