The water level at the Gondoletta attraction in Efteling is currently too low, leading the fairytale park to close the popular boat ride to the public. According to an Efteling spokesperson, the boats have been temporarily stationary since the early afternoon.
Efforts are underway to quickly reopen the attraction by restoring the water level. The exact cause of the water level drop is uncertain, but it is likely influenced by the recent hot weather. The Gondoletta offers Efteling visitors a scenic twenty-minute boat trip on the Siervijver (ornamental pond). With forty boats moving at approximately 3 kilometers per hour, the attraction operates using underwater cables and discs for propulsion. Having opened in 1981, the Gondoletta has been delighting visitors for 42 years.
