WHEN CAN YOU BOOK NEW YEAR'S EVE AT EFTELING?

When can you book New Year’s Eve at Efteling? If you’re dreaming of celebrating New Year’s Eve at Efteling (with twinkling lights, winter vibes and fireworks), you’re not alone. This is one of the most asked questions we get every year, because the best options can sell out fast.

The short answer: usually in May

Efteling’s Oud & Nieuw / New Year’s Eve arrangements often become available around May (sometimes shifting a little toward late May/early June, depending on the year). 

That said: there are two different things people mean by “booking New Year’s Eve”:

1. An overnight New Year’s Eve package deal (stay + park access + NYE party)

2. Tickets for the New Year’s Eve party (event tickets)

Both have their own sales moments.

They go on sale in October or November. This is just the evening ticket that gives you access to Efteling on the 31st of December from 7PM onwards. This ticket is included when you book your stay at Efteling starting from the 31st onwards.

The options to stay come available in May and they are popular.

What you can do right now (so you don’t miss it)

1) Decide your “must-haves” in advance

Before booking day arrives, already know:

• Your preferred accommodation (Wonder Hotel, Bosrijk, Loonsche Land, Grand Hotel)

• Ideal dates (and 1–2 backup options)

• Room type (family room, themed suite, holiday home, etc.)

2) Be ready to book

If New Year’s Eve is non-negotiable for you, treat that notification like a ticket drop: open it, check dates, book. And of course—you can subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on socials so you’ll see it the moment it goes live.

Is a New Year’s Eve stay different from a “normal” stay?
Yes. In the past, Efteling described the Oud & Nieuw arrangement as including access to the park, access to the unique New Year’s Eve party, and breakfast (and for hotel rooms: dinner on 31 December).
